![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sonic and the Secret Rings STORY Sonic
was simply sleeping away as usual, with a book resting on his chest. It
was called,"The Book of the Arabian Nights"! Who knew
that Sonic reads! Anyway, suddenly a pink mist rose from the book.
"Hello master." Came a voice,"I am Shahra, the Genie of the ring." Shahra had come from the book to ask for Sonic's assistance. Her world inside the book, was being terrorized by an evil genie called Erazor Djinn. Shahra told Sonic that if he continued to threaten her world, he would soon be able to leave the book! So Shahra placed a Magic ring on Sonic's Finger, and went into it. The ring would grant Sonic countless abilities, as he dives into the world of the Arabian Nights! Game play This
game surprised many gamers and Sonic fans with its new style. Sonic
fanatics were ready to accept that Sega had lost their touch, and that
you can no longer experience the sheer speed that the original Sonic
games had. But Sonic and the Secret Rings proved them all wrong! The
new system gave the fans what they wanted, a 3-D Fast sonic game. The
"from behind" Viewpoint made the game almost like a driving game! It
also introduced Exp points and Levelling up! And as you level up, you
get access to new abilities and upgrades. Speed upgrades, attacks,
manoeuvrability upgrades. So in that aspect, it seems like a
Role-playing game! But the other parts of the game is nothing but pure
speed and Thrills!
Multiplayer If
you ever get bored of the story mode, get some friends over and try the
multiplayer modes! There are plenty of fun mini-games and activities to
keep you busy, with up to 4 people able to play. There are tonnes of
unlockable content here. All you need to do is collect the fire hearts
throughout the story mode, and you'll be able to unlock new characters
and mini-games. This adds a lot more to the game, making it much more
playable for a lot longer!
Other
aspectsThe
visuals are great, probably not as good as Sonic the Hedgehog on the
360, but they are still fantastic for the wii! You can actually feel
like you are IN the land of the arabian nights! There are many
different styles of levels to speed through, not that you'll have much
chance to look though! The levels vary from a sandy oasis city and a
pirate cove, to the prehistoric times and atop a bunch of giant, flying
Manta Rays! The sound resembles the levels perfectly! You can hear that
arabian music as you dash around.
Conclusion Finally, i believe that
this game was a great success! There are plenty of things to keep you
busy, and the speed has been revived!!!!!
